Public facilities, as one of the important element of the city, also improved continuously with the development of society, Increasingly reflect its importance as the urban symbols, and gradually formed a set of technical and artistic combination of comprehensive system. However, due to the late start of our industrial design, public safety consciousness, and public facilities of infrastructure is relatively backward, and other factors, Public facilities design system has not been paid enough attention. Especially most public facilities seeks blindly production manufaturability and appearance shape of artistic expression in the design, but ignores the importance of safety. This led to many public facilities do harm of body and mind on users, even caused irreparable damage for nature ecological environment.This paper introduces the origin and current situation of public facilities, and citing many kinds of current public facilities becoming increasingly important in the city life. And analysis the problems and influence the current public facilities caused through the behavior observation, media analysis, questionnaire survey and other method. Then classify these problems into several main aspects, and puts forward several way to helps solve common problems of public facilities design. Advocate green design, humanized design, strengthen public's attention for the safety of facilities.Especially the designer of public facilities should make the safety as the basic points. Reduce to the damage to environment, ecology and person, avoid and constraint some wrongdoing in the society through the security environment facilities design.
