On Old Local Chronicles Of Bozhou

Bozhou has a long history and famous people in large numbers.As precious local documents of Bozhou,the chronicles of Bozhou has been edited eleven times.It has been begining during the Chenghua of Ming dynasty. Although most of these local chronicles of courses were written during the Ming and Qing dynasties, but the seven existing chronicles of Bozhou documented the local history, folklore products,places of interest, etc. in detail.which truly reflected the politics, economic, culture and other social situations, It is the important material to study Bozhou and even the whole of northern Anhui's history, culture and social changes.This paper is divided into Ming, Qing and Republic of China periods according to the ages of the old local chronicles of Bozhou. The first year of the Daoguang Period is considered as the boundary to distinguish between the early and the late Qing period. According to historical records, Ming Dynasty has had four Compilations, because it is quite long from now, most did not survive, only (Jiajing) Bozhou Blog exists.Compilation of the old local chronicles of Bozhou in the Qing Dynasty reached its peak, and it has six editings,not only in larger quantities but in higher quality. Part of the local records is from the hands of masters. It has reached a higher level in terms of category structure and data.Republic of China has only a compilation of the old local chronicles of Bozhou,and its content is very brief. Categories can reflect the old local chronicles, and it also has a prototype of the new,and it is an important stage in the transition.In the compilation theories, in terms of the nature of local chronicles,compilers all focused on highlighting the role of the chronicles and local history attributes in the process of local records. Senior local records, depositing history, cultivation and other functions are valued by compilers of the old local chronicles of Bozhou. In terms of editing requirements of the old local chronicles, most compilers advocated they should focus on the art of composition when editing the old local chronicles of Bozhou. They should display complication and simplification moderately, and seek truth from facts, etc. In terms of style, the old local chronicles of Bozhou has biographical body, flat head body, outline the body, the three chapters of the book body and sectional body, and it is abundant. Some set up a detailed account of post-project. In culture and education, the old local chronicles of Bozhou records the local education, schools, costs, etc. in different historical periods in detail. It is the detailed materials to study the evolution of educational development. In hydrology and natural disasters, the old local chronicles of Bozhou documented the geographic hydrological conditions and various natural disasters at the time in the territory, Points and Crossing, Good luck and Calamity in different categories, and it is very important in researching on the famine history in Bozhou and the entire northern parts of Anhui. The information recorded in the old local chronicles of Bozhou truly reflected the local social historical appearance and mineral resources, etc in different historical periods.lt has important reference value to social construction and economic development of Bozhou.This paper will present the seven surviving "chronicles of Bozhou" as object of study, with relevant bibliography,using bibliography and comparative research methods,from origin from the compilation, codification theory and style of the structure, and literature value and other aspects to summarize and study the overall profile of Bozhou's chronicles systematically to discover the academic value of Bozhou's chronicles. The aim is to use and provide the basis for further study for the chronicles of Bozhou.
