Research On Old Local Chronicles Of TianMen

The local chronicles which is a kind of China's regional historical documents refers to the materials and literature that describe the history and status quo of the administrative areas of the province regarding nature, politics, economy, culture and society in a comprehensive and systematic manner.The history should not only conduct each kind of research using the local chronicles, but also deal with the sorting, collation and studies of the local chronicles itself. It is necessary for us to take a research on local chronicles of a province, a city, a county, a town even a township for discovering their universality and particularity. This thesis chooses the preliberation local chronicles of TianMen HuBei Province which is the author's hometown (i.e.the old local chronicles of TianMen) as the object of investigations.Domestic research about the old local chronicles of TianMen was still weak, only a small number of relevant papers focused on single local chronicle, some scholars quoted the snippets in support of their opinions.The author's research of this thesis bases on the historical documents and the predecessors'fruits,start from the real learning to study the related issues in a literature search, comparative and investigative manner for a comprehensive and systematic research of TianMen'old local chronicles. The author of this thesis hope to enrich the achievements of the old local chronicles'research area at county level and make up for the weak link of the related areas'studies.This article discusses four major aspects to the old local chronicles of TianMen:The first part introduces a general picture of the old local chronicles of TianMen. In this section, according to the historical evolution of TianMen and my own research, the author considers that the local chronicles of TianMen creates from " Jing Ling Zhi" which was to be compiled by Lin Yingfa who lived in the Southern Song Dynasty Jiading years,and,through using a variety of books,draws a general picture of the old local chronicles of TianMen,including Lost and existing books,to help understand the historical process of TianMen Local Records.The second part is a Important part focusing on a exhaustive research of TianMen old local chronicles. This section is divided into Lost old local chronicles and existing old local chronicles, collates exhaustively every chronicle's compiling time, Space, author, versions, inheritance and innovation, especially the inheritance and innovation of the contents of each books.The third part discusses the general characteristics of TianMen old local chronicles. According to the previous two sections,the old local chronicles of TianMen show some characteristics in general,such as a clear guiding principle, clear division of labor, orderly mode of operation and constantly enrich the contents and style.The fourth part discusses the value and deficiency of TianMen old local chronicles. After general understanding, we can discover the value of TianMen old local chronicles for the compiling in new time,regional research and play a social and economic benefits.We also can't neglect the deficiency such as disrepair for a long time.
