On "Yong Le Da Dian Xi Wen San Zhong"

This thesis, based on Yong Le Da Dian Xi Wen San Zhong, has been written to systematically compare and analyze its format and system, role and performance, as well as subject and structure. We expect to show the early Southern Plays borrowings and development of other art forms on the aspects of art forms, perform system and creation techniques by examining the three plays, exhibiting completely the value of Yong Le Da Dian Xi Wen San Zhong.In the first place, for the format and system, the three plays draw resources from various kinds of art forms, such as Zhugongdiao,Changzhuan,Songzaju,Lixianggeyao,Daqu etc. Therefore, the three early Southern Plays present some kind of mature condition in systematics. With the elements mentioned above, the basic format consisted and supported the latter southern plays, and paves the way to the later art form of play.Moreover, for the role and performance, there already exists the following seven basic roles:Sheng,,Dan,,Jing,Mo,Chou,Wai,Tie in the three plays, having already shaped original pattern in spite of sloppy division of the components. Due to the social and economical causes at that time, the Southern Plays present themselves some phenomenon like one person acting many roles,Humor Plug Division,Simple props. However, with the further development of plays, those problems have been greatly solved or have simply disappeared. From above analysis on the three plays, the process of development of the three plays presents before us clearly from innocent to mature.In the third place, for the subject and structure, most early Southern Plays are revised according to the works of other art forms at that time. And people focus on typical subjects such as Crisis marriage,The pursuit of free love and marriage and Detective drama, among which represented expecially by the three plays. Apart from the characters of the play itself, the reasons can be traced back to pro founding social causes. In addition, the three plays as one of the representatives of Southern Plays, consists of basic structure patterns and methods of creating a play and modeling a character.
