The Graphic Creative Research On Arabic Numerals In Poster Design

Languages such as Arabic numerals, Latin letters, pictographic characters are thefruit of human civilization for thousands of years. It is the crystallization of human’wisdom groped and accumulated in the process of transforming and understandingnature. Engels said:"as well as all other disciplines, mathematics are generated frompeople’s needs, from land measurement and volume measurements, from the timecalculation and utensils manufacturing." Digital is an important part of language system.And the Arabic numeral has a good advantage such as easy to identify the number itselfin information transmission, so there is a detailed explanation on the Arab digitalgraphic creative research in poster design.First of all，this paper expounds the origin and development of Arabic numerals,fundamentally understand the origin, culture, development of Arabic Numbers. In theprocess of transmission, Arabic numerals were endowed with more deep meaningbecause of the influence of the cultural background.Second, the paper further elaborates the function and difference of Arabic numeralsin propagation, describe the Arabic numerals have different meaning in different areasand different cultural background.Third, the paper leads to the characteristics in visual communication based on theunderstanding of the origin and development and meaning of the numerals.Finally, two chapters later in this paper focus on the graphics creativity of Arabicnumerals and the creative research in graphic design. The research idea of graphicoriginality is from creative thinking to creative expression. And it focuses on thecreative resolution of Arabic numerals, eventually lead to the study of graphic creationcombined the image and meaning of Arabic numeral with other things. Arabic numeralsas a kind of language without borders and easily identified have infinity developmentspace in graphic design.The innovation points of this paper are:(1)the systematic study of the Arabicnumeral in implication in different cultural and different area;(2)the analysis of theArabic numeral from the perspective of graphically creation;(3)studying graphicoriginality ofArabic numerals in graphic design.
