The Literature And Art Records Of Rizhao County

Rizhao is located in the southeast of Shandong province. The town of Rizhao was first setted in the second year of Yuanyou in Song dynasty, it was became a County in Jin dynasty, belonged to Juzhou which is part of east of Shandong province. In Yuan dynasty, it was belonged to Juzhou of Shandong Yidu province. In Ming dynasty and early Ching period, the Rizhao County was belonged to Juzhou which is part of Qingzhoufu. In the 17th year of Hongwu in Ming dynasty, Andongwei was setted at ninty miles south of Rizhao County according to the records of Rizhao County. In the 7th year of the Qianlong reign period, combined the Andongwei to Rizhao County. The Rizhao County was belonged to Yizhoufu in the 12th year Yongzheng ruling period, and which was under the direct control of Shandong province in The Republic of China. In 1985 the Rizhao County upgraded to a County-level city, the area of Rizhao was not change. In 1989 Rizhao was became a city, included the zone of Donggang and Lanshan, the County of Ju and Wulian. We particularly emphasis on exploring the works records of all dynasties before Rizhao became a city in this paper.At the begainning of Jin dynasty, the number of success in the Imperial Examination is very large in Rizhao County. The period form Ming to Ching dynasty, there are fifty Jinshi, one hundred and fifty seven Juren, which is known the prosperity of Imperial Examination in Rizhao County. The family Ding of Rizhao County was very prosperity, in Ming ang Ching dynasty there are fifty Jinshi, thirty five Juren. Besides the family Ding, Jiao Hong,Xu Han,Wang Xiantang are all the famous scholars in the periods they lived.When the Rizhao County was setted, it had compiled of local chronicles many times, but the Literature and Art Records was not the bibliography. I collected the works of people of Rizhao County in this paper, five hundred and fifty one titles in total. The works of Classics are seventy three titles, inclued categories of Zhouyi,the Book of History,the Book of Poetry,Li,Chunqiu,the Four Books,the Five Classics,Xiaoxue. The works of Xiaoxue are thirty six titles, which accounts for half of Classic works. The famous scholars who reserched Xiaoxue are Xu Han,Ding Weifen,Wang Xiantang and so on. The works of History are one hundred and ninty three titles, include categories of Bieshi,Chronological,Zashi,Imperial Edicts and Orders and Memorials submitted to the Throne,Biography,Family genealogy,Historical excerpts. Geography%Local chronicles, Political books. Bibliography, Epigraphy, History reviews. Bibliography and Epigraphy have rather high accomplishment in these categories. The works of Bibliography are twenty three titles, and seventy two titles about Epigraphy. The specialists in epigraphy are Xu Han,Ding Linnian,Ding Genshan, Wang Xiantang and so on. The works of philosophy are one hundred and twenty two titles, include categories of Confucianism,Taoism,the Military commander,Legalism,Agricultural treatises,Medical treatises,Astronomical and Algorithm,Divination books,Artistic,Pulu,Zaji233a,the Novels and Stories, Chinese encyclopedia. Religion. The works of Belles-letters are one hundred and forty seven titles in total. Include categories of the Songs of Chu,Individual Collections,General Collections, Commentary and Annotation of Poem. The works of Occident Scholarship are two. The works of Catalogue are fourteen.Chronicles of the Han Dynasty was compiled by Ban Gu, a man who lived in the Eastern Han Dynasty. It is the beginning of the Literature and Art Records, and refelcts the pomp of Book Collection in the Eastern Han Dynasty. It is common that Literature and Art Records was setted in the local chronicles Since Ming and Ching dynasty, in order to reflect the prosperity of one place's literature. The widely known is Bibliography of Chronicles of Wenzhou in Local Literature and Art Records. In this paper I colleceted the works of whom birthed in Rizhao County, compiled the Literature and Art Records of Rizhao County. At the begainning of the paper, there is a passage to introduction the history and culture of Rizhao, which can be a supplementary to the Literature and Art Records.
