Thus, this thesis selected the narrative of misery in children's literature since new period as the research subject. The research methods consist of carefully reading, interdisciplinary research methods and theory with practice. Researching what suffering experiences were described by the writers, the suffering experience how to be described, what distinguishing feature in terms of structural arrangements and artistic skills in suffering of children's literature.The preface's main task is analyzing the reason of selection this object. Children's literature appeared in"May Fourth"period. From the period of origin, children's literature inherited the literary tradition of realism, but by the reason of social, political, historical, and many other factors, in the suffering of children's literature has many deficiencies described before the new period, until the new period while children's literature became flourishing and progressive, that is why the new period's works are more suitable for studying.Body part is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is an overview of suffering narratives, through this chapter will describe the general situation of suffering presented. The suffering is the feeling of subject to reality living, is divided into real suffering and emotional suffering. All of the suffering feeling is final point to people's spiritual world. The root of suffering is the lack of love and natural instinct was tied. Suffering narrative is different from the initiation stories, but linked in some fields.The second chapter will research the structure characteristics of the suffering narrative. The first part elaborates on the character set, children's literature is often difficult for those who do not directly point out that the facilities, which according to different criteria can be divided into different types; rescuer is the role that frequently appears in the suffering works, these rescuers often give great help and guidance to the children when they are being tortured. The second part discusses the structural arrangement described the suffering of the existence of "multiple combat " features, through setting one by one unfortunate event to show the character's personality and mental quality.The third chapter will through on analysis of several images in the suffering narrative to find out the means of expression. The first image is the "disease", the "disease - recover" model is a deformation of the "death - rebirth" model in actually; the second image is the "crying", the little hero often crying when they have been overcome the suffering or they will go over it, they use crying as the form of victory song for them over the suffering; the third image is the "dream", by analysis the hero's dreams to reveal their hearts secret; the last image is "running away from home", including two forms, one is left home to a strange place for receiving training, and the other is running away from home as a revolt against reality.The forth chapter from two aspects that the character's attitudes to face suffering and the writer's efforts to describe suffering to discussed the narrative presentation skills of the suffering of children's literature. Attitude in the face of suffering, the character sometimes go through a process from refused to meet to receive, and sometimes still showed a strong resistance.
