Hundred years of Solitude by the Columbia writer, Garcia Marquez, is a masterpiece of magic realism. This novel was written in the 1960s, which is Latin American literature"explosive period", it was popular with many readers. The author won the Nobel Prize for literature in 1982.The thesis is based on the text interpretation of Hundred Years of Solitude, with spatial narrative theories ; firstly, it deals with relevant theories about spatial form and spatial narrative function;and then it explores in the three aspects, i.e. physical space, psychological spatial and magical spatial respectively. The chapter 1 presents the relevant spatial theories which are used to be the theoretical basis and guidance for this thesis. On the basis of the analysis of the theories presented in the chapter 1, the second, third and fourth chapters discuss the spatial form features and spatial narrative function in Hundreds Years of solitude , from the perspectives of physical space, psychological spatial and magic spatial. By the above analysis, the thesis presents the unique narrative artistic quality of Hundreds Years of Solitude and Garcia Marquez's extraordinary creative wisdom.
