Mei Niang, an established writer, who was active in North of china and Northeast occupied Regions during the 30s and 40s last century. Her original name was Sun Jiarui and she once used Minzi,Sun Minzi,Liu Qingniang,Yun Feng,Sun Xiang and so on as pen names. Inspired by her own developmental and emotional experience, the creation of her works was the picture of the turbulent politic at that time. Without catering for the major stream of literature at that time, her influence was only confined to some certain areas—North of china and Northeast occupied Regions. My essay is divided into two parts:Introduction and Context. The part of Introduction digs into the intricate literature, makes the historical development of Mei Niang's research clear on the base of background of occupied area. What's more, according to the current study, I determinins what can be involved in. I'd like to put it in this way:Illustrate the female images as well as their characters from some specific contexts. The Context mainly analyses the female images and art feature of her works:First part:The process of her work creation. It focus on three stage:first attemptation to the real society; concern about the fate of female; the relationship between the society and women's destiny.Second part:The female images in her works. The post—creation of Mei Niang was recognized as the line of Romantic works by traditional concepts which think it is beyond the previous quest of the road of women's emancipation. In fact, her previous and post creation both meditate the breakthrough of women's releasement conhesively, which is convinced by the shape of female images. It is just under such a constant pondering that the female images of her works turn out integral.Third part:Art feature of her works:the combination between lyricalistic and storicalistic; vivid description of men's mental condition; the employment of symbolism.Mei Niang'works wind the special sky of occupied regions like a flow of fresh air. Her feverous attention to female makes it possible for her works to merge into the fashionable creation since the May 4th Movement. Her unique style has fertilised the creation of chinese modern literature.
