The handicraft of Suzhou woodprint was derived from engraving in Song Dynasty,and it flourished in the Qing Dynasty yongzheng and qianlong era. And it together with paintings of Tianjin Yangliuqing and paintings of Shandong Ynagjiabu, be one of the three best pictures of the production center. In The Qing Dynasty yongzheng and qianlong, The Suzhou woodprint also appeared some works of imitate western copperplate etching,there are some works of "imitation the western techiques".These works used the principle of perspective,used the laying cables express shadow. It's large scale and the finely wrought are to be the rare competitive products in our country's prints history. This subject mainly by a picture or few pictures which typical affected by western copperplate to analysis of the social and cultural background,and to analysis these special prints how to being affected in the perspective,size,laying cable,expressing shadow,and print in twice use two tones of the ink. And further analysis the specific affect process of western copperplate.Then discusses the influence of the spreading Catholic art in the Suzhou area,and the catholicism court painters effect the ideas of Chinese traditional painting on paintings,making prints and passing on the technical skill. And generalizing the specific impact especially the impect of western copperplate on "imitation the western techiques" in Suzhou.
