Modern Chinese Research, Multi-angle V "conjunctions

In this paper, we tried to analyze a couple of conjunctions in modern Chinese from multiple angles in the synchronic and the diachronic way. The research objects of this paper are a group of conjunctions, two-syllable conjunctions made of conjunction "YI" and monosyllabic morpheme "V", called "YI V" conjunctions.The former research on connections comprises four main aspects:the definition and typical characteristics of conjunctions, the classification of conjunctions, the origin and the evolution of conjunctions, the functions of conjunctions. The former research on "YI V" conjunctions comprises three aspects:semantic analysis, synonym discrimination, and lexicalization process. First, we analyzed the connection function of "YI ZHI1".Then we compared "YI ZHI," and "YI ZHI YU1" and discriminated "YI ZHI,"&"YI JI" when they both connect nouns. Finally we described and explained the subjectivity of the speakers "YI ZHI1 "and "YI ZHI YU1" can reflect.We analyzed the connection function and semantics of "YI ZHI2" and "YI ZHI". Then we discriminated two sets of conjunctions:"YI ZHI2"&"YI ZHI"; YI ZHI2" & "YI ZHI YU2". Finally we chose "YI ZHI" representing "YI V"3, analyzed and explained their text-link function by the theory of discourse markers.We find "YI V'3 contains two types:recorded in the dictionaries and not recorded in the dictionaries. Then we described their connection function and applicable sentences. Finally we meticulously analyzed their semantics and divide them into two types:"YI BIAN" "YI QI" "YI BEI" "YI QIU" "YI DAI" meaning hoping something to happen; "YI MIAN" "YI FANG" meaning hoping something not to happen. For "YI BIAN" "YI MIAN" "YI QI" which are easily mistaken, we discriminated their near-synonyms.We analyzed the two kinds of connection function of "YI JI":similar joint and disparate joint. Then we describe the semantic relationship between its connected components, and discriminated two sets of conjunctions:"YI JI" & "JI"; "YI JI" & "HE". Finally, we explored the gradations "YI JI" can indicate and the way of indicating.
