How to set up Chinese aesthetics is always the hot issue during these years for all Chinese scholars, especially in the background of economic globalization and multi-cultural, so trying to find out the special label for yourself and showing this to others successfully is becoming more and more important now. As a Aesthetics specialized graduate student faced with the vexed questions and all kinds of theories going through construction and deconstruction, I want to get myself out to have a overview first, and then put forward my own opinions to this problem. So the original aim for this paper is conclusion and rethinking my subject, and hopes to find the answer for my confusion. And I will stick to the rule which refuse the blind worship for some authority and say no to blind suspect also, and collect useful information to find answer by myself.In order to explain my opinion clearly, the paper is separated into three main parts. Part one is chapter one, in this part, the whole develop history of Chinese aesthetics subject will be put in order and I will bring up the questions and confusion though this background information for Chinese contemporary aesthetics. The second part including chapter two and three, in this part, I will compare Chinese scholar Wang Guowei with France scholar Jean-Francois Lyotard about their idea and theory, and then try to find out what is the different from their culture, at end, turn back to aesthetics subject self to see what's the core different and common idea between east and west. In this part, all the expounding will relate the modernity and post-modernity theory, and I will use a special angle (Time) to reread Chinese aesthetics. The third part is chapter four. In chapter four, you will find the conclusion for the part two, and also some of my creative idea for the future of Chinese aesthetics. But I will stick my rule, no right result, just open result.
