Lu Tung-pin who is one of the most famous inner alchemy experts occupies an important position in the history of Chinese Taoism. This paper studies the works of Lu Tung-pin with methods of Thoughts History, Bibliography, and Phenomenology. Lu Tung-pin's ideology is one of the mature symbols for Taoism inner alchemy Characterized by the integrated cultivation of spirit and body。"No body,one can not practice。With the body,one have not comprehension for Tao"。Lu's ideology based on Laozi and concerned about the physical and psychological changes. Cultivating both in body and spirit just base on the fact that human has a body that is a barrier for truth.Lu's thoughts of cultivation of spirit and body integrated both sect of Tao and sect of alchemy。The thoughts of cultivating spiritual nature is rooted in Laozi。The thoughts of Cultivating body is compatible with LaoZi .Lu established systematic operable elixir methods。so that the"Tao"and"elixir methods"closely connected。Tao is invisible ,while elixir methods are specific,which help to achieve inaction. He claimed that cultivating mind meant monasticism. He maintained that comprehension for Tao should base on the secular world. Paying attention to cultivate body and mind was also based on secular society. He maintained that the three religions were based on the same principle and opposed discrimination. He combined Buddha dharma with the inner alchemy cultivating system, swept away all of heretical thought and established the orthodox elixir theories.Lu Tung-pin had a significant impact on later generations. Both north sect and south sect of austerity cultivation maintains integrated cultivation, with south sect putting body cultivation before spirit cultivation and the north sect being the opposite. Cultivating body was to prepare for cultivating mind。Cultivating spirit is to achieve the Tao。Sects of inner alchemy appeared in dynasties of Song and Yuan all claimed that they got instructions from Lu Tung-pin directly or indirectly。So did Centrist sect, East sect, West sect ,and Wuliu Sect。Up to the Qing Dynasty ,Longmeng Sect is dominated in china。Liu Yiming, Zhu Yuanyu, Huang Yuanji all were taught by South Sect and North Sect, and all advocated cultivating Spirit and Body。Since the Tang Dynasty, Tao sect and Alchemy sect combined into one sect。this paper research the most characteristic thoughts of Lu Tung-pin, analyzing the relationship between spirit and body, the two of most important factors of inner alchemy。It provides some important reference value。I look forward to get a preliminary understanding of Lu Tung-pin's integrated cultivating thoughts。...
