Weapons About Dunhuang Bamboozle And Wooden Slips

With the help of the research of related experts and scholars this paper,mostly based on the inherited documents and combining with the bamboo and wooden slips,try to investigate some issues about Dunhuang bamboo and wooden slips.This paper consist of five parts:The first part is isagoge ,which points out the the background ,the purpose and the significance of selection this title.It also sketchy out the research status of related issues.In the second part,it firstly states and differentiate all the views about the shape of the weapon called "Youfang".According to the origin and the development of dagger-axe and halberd and so on,it then researches the shape of Youfang.The third part overviews the short weapons like knives and swords and focuses on the analysis of three weapons called "Yuju sword ","Zhanma sword "and "Huanshou knife".The fourth part mainly to overview the shoot far weapons like composite bow and crossbow in west and east Han Dynasties.Then it focuses on the analysis of three issues on the Shape evolution of crossbow machine,"crossbow machine range" and "arrow".The fifth part ,investigating the relevant situation about the weapons in west and east Han Dynasties,is composed by five parts as follows:1 the source of weapons and the weapons manufacturing institutions in bamboo and wooden slips.2 the development of smelting iron and forging in west and east Han dynasty ,the casting process of weapons.3 Dunhuang bamboo and wooden slips reflect the official weapons management system.4 for the management of private weapons in west and east Han Dynasty.5 the advancement manifestation of weapons in Han dynasty and the reasons. This paper argues that the shape of the weapon called "Youfang"was the related weapon called "Jiming halbert"in the historical records.With the contemporary appearance of Youfang ,such advanced iron weapons like "Huanshou knife ,"Zhanma swords",,"Dahuang crossbow"and hook guarantee the combating effectiveness of Han army .
