Yang Shen On Tang Poetry

YangShen is a famous scholar,poet and literat in Ming Dynasty,his reserch included of philosophy, history, painting, music,drama.language and folk custom and so on.He was knowledgeable,and writed very many books.He was borned in a scholarly family,he had worded in Imperial Academy when he was a youth .However, because of"Discuss Ceremony"Event ,he was exiled to Yunnan more than thirty,until he died.Revivalist's poetics ruled the literary world in Ming Dnyasty,"Fomer Seven People"advocated"Prose must Qin Han,poetry must ShengTang",YangShen chose another path,his poerty and poetics was different from other people,especially his views of Poerty of Tang Dynasty.He had great insight and a lot of courage.Wealth of knowledge and life experience had an important impact on his his views of Poerty of Tang Dynasty.Early in the Ming Dynasty ,GaoBing divided the Poerty of Tang Dynasty into four stages in Commented and Collected about the Poerty of Tang Dynasty,included ChuTang,ShengTang,ZhongTang, And WanTang.YangShen accorded to the view too,just he included the poetry of Jin Dynasty in his study,and paid attention to it's genre what insprised the Poerty of Tang Dynasty.He summay the achievements and characteristics of various stage of the Poerty of Tang Dynasty more objectively.LiBai and DuFu were two great poets in Tang Dynasty, YangShen had specialized and detailed research about them. For the purposes of LiBai,YangShen researched his homeland and family history ,cleared that his hometown was SiChuan,and also arranged his poetic origin. For the purposes of DuFu,YangShen criticized the wrong view of"Porty History"since the Song Dynasty,and researched and amend his poetey.At the same time,he compared the different and same of LiBai and DuFu about their portys'genres and styles,he liked LiBai more than DuFu.Through summarying the characteristics the Poerty of Tang Dynasty,YangShen looked it as the model,and proposed"the theory of identify potry","the theory of emotion","the theory of learning"and"the theory of versatility".He constructed the core values system of his poetics by there four aspects.
