The Relationship Between Occupational Stress,Coping Style And Job Satisfaction Of Policeman In Wuhan

The policeman is the power of justice and executive law enforcement in china,and they hold the duty to protect our people. Along with the society's development and technology's progress, the modern crime presents many new characteristics, causes the security work face with a rigorous test.The primary policeman bear more mental pressures than ordinary employee,because of the burstiness,risk and high responsibility about this work.So they often fall into the stress reaction of Physiological Psychology.This result in work efficiency go down,and combat power become weak.So we must look squarely at this question.This study adopt questionnaire method,571 primary policemen of Wuhan , use the police occupational stress scale,the simple coping style scale and Minnesota job satisfaction scale,to explorate the relationship between occupational stress,coping style and job satisfaction of policeman in Wuhan.The conclusion of this study as follows:The occupational stress of Wuhan police exist significant difference in different type police, the occupational stress of window service police,criminal police and order police advanced to community police.The significant difference also exsit in gender about responsibility dimension, and woman advanced to man.The gender and police classification don't exsit significant difference in coping style.The police classification exsit significant difference in job satisfaction, inside, the external satisfaction and immanent satisfaction of criminal police are relatively high, policeman's external satisfaction and immanent satisfaction all advanced to policewoman's.The responsibility to others and job satisfaction have significant positive correlation in occupational stress. Role confusion and passive coping style negative correlation, role overload and positive coping style have significant positive correlation.The positive coping style,external career satisfaction and immanent satisfaction exsit significant positive correlation.
