Culture industry is a new industry, the emergence and development of cultureindustry has been widespread concerned of many countries around the world. Cultureindustry of China is not only a product under market economy of socialism with Chinesecharacteristics, but also an important part of Chinese cultural restructuring. Form theperspective of the world, culture industry was born in the West, no matter from the theoryand the practice, the development of it has been more mature in the foreign countries.Comparatively speaking, culture industry started late in China and its strength is notstrong. There are many existing problems, especially, the phenomenon of "Cultureindustrialization" in domestic now, which brought a lot of confusion for the healthydevelopment of culture in our country.This paper committed to discuss the dilemma and way out of "Cultureindustrialization", starting form the Western theory about culture industry, this paperelaborated on the background exactly with the producing of "Culture industrialization",and pointed out that there is a great difference between culture industry and "Cultureindustrialization" clearly. During the analysis of "Culture industrialization", theembarrassing predicament, this paper has predicted that "Culture industrialization" bringsthe risk of culture inevitably. There is a great number of domestic scholars who have themisunderstanding between culture industry and "Culture industrialization", therefore,culture rendered excessively for the economic benefits, and a large number of cultureproducts and service are manipulated by the modern commercial and technological way,in order to achieve the purpose of commercial interests. In the long run, it is not only badfor the construction of socialist economic, but also the construction of socialist culture. Inaddition, this paper distinguished the socialist cultural undertakings and culture industry.No matter socialist cultural undertakings or culture industry, both of them service for thepeople, and we should put social benefits on the primary position. At the same time, thereare some suggestions that are offered to the rational development of socialist cultureindustry. In the background of globalization, culture industry of our country is not only facinga rare historical opportunity, but also facing the severe challenge from the world culturalpower.
