A Brief Research On Cohesive Function And Translation Of Lexical Cohesion In Uyghur Discourse

As an important content of discourse, cohesion is a semantic concept. According to Halliday and Hasan, there are mainly two approaches make discourse realize itself. There are grammatical cohesion and lexical cohesion. Lexical cohesion has significant cohesive functions, such as intra-sentense function, inter-sentense function and so on. Based on cohesion theory, the present study makes a brief analysis of distinctive cohesive functions of all kinds of lexical cohesive device by combining practical linguistic samples.
