An Analysis Of The Translation Of English News Report From The Perspectives Of Language And Cultural Differences Between Chinese And English

This paper focuses on the contrasts between Chinese and English and difference between Chinese and English culture. Contrasts between Chinese and English are mainly Active & Passive and Dynamic & Stative. We should make some necessary conversions in the translating process. From the perspective of the differences between Chinese and English culture, the translator uses both literal translation and free translation to translate some idioms and metaphors which are difficult to translate so as to produce the most equivalent translated version of the original and make the translated version according with Chinese habits.
