Since"intertextuality"was put forward by Julia Kristeva , the French post-structuralist , it has been got all around attention from scholars. They try to translate and consummate it from different ways and give a new life to this literature term. This paper try to make a intertextuality study to the two works﹕"The Hours"by Michael Kanningham and"Mrs Dalloway"by Virginia Woolf. And I want to find the same art characters and the different life and world view of two writers.This paper divided into fuor parts:introduction, the main part of this paper, conclusion and reference book.the first chapter of the main part is the intertextuality theory ,which put forword by Julia Kristeva and the post-intertextuality theory.The second chapter is the main part of this paper, the aim is make a intertextual reserch of the two works from three lines﹕the first line is the parodying intertextuality research ,which from the narrow intertexuality theory made by Genette, making such express way as parody,repetition, imply;the second line is extensibility research , making the"Room","June Morning","Flowing Water"as reserch point ,and find these archetypal images how to extend the meanning of"Mrs Dalloway"; the last line is subvesive intertextuality research ,which make three women as the start-point, studying the women images how to be rewrite and subvert the original image in the pretext.The three chapter is the last part of this paper, which make a general summary of intertexuality research of this paper. And transfer the study point into the writer ,Micheal Kanningham, discuss how did he inherit creative concept of Woolf, the modernism writer,such as﹕instant impression, stream of consciousness and woman sense of existence. And how did he apply these concepts into his own works and express his perculiar aesthetic ideology and world view as a post-modernism writer.
