Last 80s, a huge portrait about peasantry was created, which made the whole academe of China shook. In that period, so many portraits about peasantry had been made, but only this one incited people to claim thaf "put the portrait onto the Tian'anmen to instead the portrait of the Chairman Mao". Then, the signification of the study lay in as follows:Through recalling the image itself, tell the reader how to interpret and deconstruct an image, how to analyze the historical position of an image, and how to use the image to express "the social class" conception in the history. However, it was related to tracing to the theory roots of the co-created images and interpreted documents.To resolve those problems mentioned above, the study would interpret them through following three sections:Firstly, by means of sighting and decoding peasant visualization in the oil paints of different periods, the reasons caused the difference between them has been revealed. This study was trying to summarize a series of peasant visualization symbols of New China and the common image characters of them.Secondly, the Father was taken as an example, analyzing its colour, expression and controversy, the differences has been decoded between the symbol signification of the Father and the peasant visualization of the past and future. And then, the culture function and practical signification of the Father were revealed. Finally the reasons which led the distinct fascination were also released.Thirdly, the Father was taken as an example either, through the society reflection and commentaries after the images, the study was trying to track the theory origin of the peasant visualization. And at last, it was proved that either creating of the images or their commentaries in New Chinese Time was originated from the same one-the Marxism Leninism and Maoism. So, the Marxism Leninism and Maoism were the wisdom source of literature and images theory construction, and the final theory origin of the fine art history of New China.In the study, by means of sociology, iconography, formal and document analysis, trying to interpret the characters of the image constructing in the time of New China, to release the function and signification of the documents and conceptions above the images, and ultimately to reveal the theory origin of the construction of the images and documents.
