Bai Juyi, after Li Bai and Du Fu, was another great poet in shinning poetry stage of the Tang Dynasty. He lived through 8 ancient Chinese emperors all his life and was banished to Jiangzhou as a Sima (an official title) because of"Wu Yuanheng"(a poet contemporary with Bai Juyi) Incident happened in the Tang Dynasty (815A.D.) and then moved to Zhongzhou as a Cishi (another official title). When he moved from Zhongzhou to Chang'an (819A.D.-820A.D.), he wrote 120 poems, all of which represented unique landscapes as well as the ways of people of Zhongzhou and expressed his complex experiences, thoughts and feelings in office. Meanwhile, many of his"Zhongzhou"poems were so thoughtful and artistic that greatly influenced the works that time and afterworld. Bai's"Zhongzhou"poems had high value in the respects of broadening the outlook on studying him, his literature achievements and analyzing his underlying ideological and cultural significances, which were worthy of further study.According to my consultation on predecessor's works, I have found many of their works only analyzed the contents and aesthetic features of Bai's"Zhongzhou"poems and at the present time there has been no article studying Bai's poems from the perspective of regional culture and literary creation. Therefore, on the basis of sorting Bai's"Zhongzhou"poems, this article studied these poems as follows four sections.Section 1-introduction, entirely reviewing the predecessor's research on Bai's"Zhongzhou"poems and arranging the studying development struck a basis for the coming paper writing and thorough study. Section 2-summary on Bai's"Zhongzhou"poems, this section stated the forming of Bai's"Zhongzhou"poems and social background, including two parts: definition on Bai's"Zhongzhou"poems and the relationship between Bai Juyi and Zhongzhou.Section 3, as the key point of the article, expounded the relationship between regional culture and literary creation from the perspective of regional culture, and according to Chongqing's ethnic customs appeared in these poems, the poems were divided into three main categories: custom, scenery and nostalgia, which were separately discussed. Section 4 elaborated the influence of Bai's"Zhongzhou"poems on the local cultural in later ages from two aspects--cultural relics and humanistic influence.
