Through a research in the evolution of Confucian culture in both China and South Korea, an analysis of the influence of Confucian culture on the modernity of South Korea, as well as the Confucian culture embodied in the daily life, this article provides a number of details which shows that Confucian culture has deeply rooted in society of South Korea and given positive impact on the political system, economic model, as well as various aspects of social life. Today, the Confucianism is still playing a dominant role in South Korea, besides, the thought of Confucius "serve the country, respect faithfulness and thrift, love the people, regard filial piety as the basic ethics" has rooted in South Korean mind, and become the spiritual energy of national development and the life path.This thesis mainly includes four parts:Part 1:the introduction. It provides a brief introduction of the influence that the Confucian culture gives on South Korea, and expounds the purpose of this thesis.Part 2:The evolution of Confucianism in both China and South Korea and its influence on the latter. This paper offers a deep analysis on four aspects:the formation of the traditional Chinese Confucianism culture and its evolution; the introduction and development of Confucianism culture in South Korea; its influence on the modernization of South Korea; traditional Confucian culture reflected in daily life of South Korea.Part 3:The reason of the development of Confucianism in South Korea.
