Prohibition can be said as one of the commonly-seen mandatory expressions in daily life.In life,it's easy to see various conditions of others prohibiting or prohibited. In case of inappropriate prohibition or insufficiently-understood prohibition,it'll be more likely to affect subsequent mutual communications and inter-personal relationships. Therefore,it is of much necessity to master basic grammar-related knowledge and enhance corresponding practical-application capacity from the angle of pragmatics for achieving good mastery of prohibition-expressing acts. And based on the above research purpose,by taking some Chinese and Korean movies and TV works, literary works and other materials as corpus, this paper made a series of comparative analysis around the language features, specific functions and politeness strategies of prohibition-expressing acts of the typical two languages, namely Chinese and Korean. From the language features,it gave further comparative analysis upon specific manifestations of such prohibition-expressing acts in China and South Korea separately from the following two levels, namely vocabulary and grammar. From the view of vocabulary,it focused on analyzing the following four types-verb,noun,adverb and interjection. And in terms of grammar, from the perspective of syntaxes,it gave corresponding comparative analysis around the following four aspects, namely declarative sentence, imperative sentence, interrogative sentence and exclamation sentence. From specific functions, with combination of Leach's Scale Principle,as well as applications of ???(2012)and Kashiwazaki Masayo(1993),it divided the existing prohibition-expressing acts into the following three functions, namely command function, request function and persuasive function. And by combing with specific context,it further explored corresponding performance means to express the above functions in practical prohibition-expressing acts in China and South Korea. From the politeness strategies, according to the current discourse structures of prohibition-expressing acts,it finally classified them into the two types, namely main-act language and auxiliary-act one for further analysis.
