Since 1990, the inland tragedies has made a significant growth in order to bring forward the emergence of a large number of good works, some of which have attracted wide TV audience of all ages, and become the mainstay of TV plays types. The tragedies not only become the most popular TV plays at the prime time of each TV station, but also won awards, such as, Flying Eagle Award and so on, which achieve the social economy and spiritual benefits of win-win situation. Therefore, It is necessary to show the tragedy of the theoretical study.This text selects a sample of 62 tragedies as the research objects, not only states surrounding narrative plot and cultural connotations of the tragedies, but also explores the unique feature compared to other TV plays. The selection of classic tragedies should obey three principles, firstly, the tragedies awarded in the TV plays award; secondly, the works of high audience rating in CCTV and local TV stations; thirdly, the tragedies directed by inland directors.In addition to the introduction and the conclusion, the text states via three parts. The first part defines and introduces the develop process of the tragedies and analyze the reason of prosperity of the tragedies;The second part is the tragedy of the narrative drama of the plot mode, this is the core of the paper. According to Propp methods of Russian folk tales, The plight of the 62 kinds of suffering play inside the story summarized the plot functions and 4 of 31 basic narrative stage, Started as the basis for detailed analysis.
