Mutual Understanding And Completing

Yu Hua is one of the most important Chinese contemporary writers,his novels being highly appreciated within both the Chinese and international literature world. His novels "To Live" and "The Chronicle of a Blood Merchant" were chosen by 100 world literature critics and included in the list of the most important 10 world novels from the'90s.Yu Hua is one of the most popular Chinese writers among the foreign readers, which is mainly due to the fact that all the questions aroused in his writing as well as his main ideas cover not only the Chinese culture, but also the world literature. Besides, his novels and ideas overpass the time and the space limits, all the geographical frontiers, and nationality differences, they all belong to the whole world, they are common human questions and values.When I read Yu Hua's novels, his writing recalls me. of some very familiar feelings. The experience reflected in his works, is very similar to my own cultural experience. Our two countries:China and Moldova, especially from the historical point of view, have a lot of similarities, so our countries'literatures also have some common features both from the perspective of the narrative topics chosen by the authors, as well as in the ways of expression. Therefore, I have chosen to undertake the comparative study of Yu Hua and Ion Drutse:one very representative contemporary Moldovan author.My work is divided into three parts, introduction, content, and conclusion. The introduction is about the role of Yu Hua and Ion Drutse in the world's literature, and also about the main study direction. The content is also divided into seven chapters. The purpose of first three chapters is to undertake a more profound study of the Yu Hua and Ion Drutse importance both in the world and national literature, and getting more knowledge about the novels to be analyzed during this investigation project:Yu Hua's "To Live" and "The Chronicle of a Blood Merchant", as well as Drutse's "The Burden of Our Kindness" The last four chapters, after recollecting the main existential ideas promoted by Yu Hua and Ion Drutse, represent the proper comparative study of the two authors. The conclusion undertakes a comprehensive study of the main ideas and basic results.Through this work, I am following two main purposes:the first is to find the similarities between two different cultures, seeking a multicultural inter-relation, and a better mutual understanding, and the second purpose is seeking the cultural differences and the original features of the other culture, the final goal being the intercultural completion and a better multicultural communication.
