The Research On The Relationship Between Traditional Cheng Zhu Neo-Confucianism Values And Subjective Well-being Of Guangdong College Students

Cheng zhu Neo-Confucianism had been an intergration of Chinese tranditional culture,although it formed a long ago,but it is still impacting on today's people.SWB has been an hot topic as a mental evaluation index.In this research,there are two scales.One is traditional Cheng zhu Neo-Confucianism values Questionniare which was compiled according to related documents and books.Another is SWB scale which was recompiled according to Ed Diener's《International University Survey Scale》.This two scales was used to explore the ralationship between traditional Cheng zhu Neo-Confucianism values and SWB.This reasearch not only start a new perspective about our traditional culture and release the modern significance of traditional culture,but aslo provide reference and enlightenment to mental health education.The purpose of this research is to explore the content structures of traditional Cheng zhu Neo-Confucianism values questionniare,the characterristics of college students'traditional Cheng zhu Neo-Confucianism values,the ralationship between traditional Cheng zhu Neo-Confucianism values and SWB in which there is a in- explorating of intermediary variable between traditional Chengzhu Neo-Confucianism values and SWB.The main results of this research are as the follow:1.The Reliability and Validity of the Traditional Cheng zhu Neo-Confucianism values Questionniare are good enough to be acceptable.2.The are five dimensions of the Traditional Cheng zhu Neo-Confucianism values Questionniare:Self-discipline,Career Achievements,Collectivism,Social Morality and Customs and mutual benefit.3.On the whole students'traditional Cheng zhu Neo-Confucianism values, there are no diffreences on gender,grade,profession and other demography variables.4.The correlation between traditional Cheng zhu Neo-Confucianism values and LS,PA,GSWB is significant positive.The person with high traditional Cheng zhu Neo-Confucianism values have high LS,PA and GSWB. 5.The traditional Cheng zhu Neo-Confucianism values have prediction function to LS,PA,GSWB.6.Self-esteem is the intermediary variaables between traditional Cheng zhu Neo-Confucianism values and SWB.
