Based on the relational theory and the psychological measurement of the scholars at home and abroad, this research use the methods like the questionnaire survey and the interviewing method, study profoundly the question of the cultural identity and the acculturation of the university student in Sui, and at the same time, discuss the mediating effect of the acculturation between the cultural identity and the self-esteem. The major conclusions are stated below:(1) The Uygur cultural identity in Sui include separated dimensions :the cultural identity of their own culture and the cultural identity of the Han culture, the result of the questionnaire has a good fitting, support the cultural identity model of two factors.(2) The test of reliability and validity indicate: the cultural identity questionnaire of the Uygur university students in Sui has a good validity of the internal consistency, a well split-half reliability, has a fine content validity, and fit well with the demand of the Psychometrics.(3) The cultural identity of the Uygur university students in Sui has differences in the demographic variables. There are differences in the variables like the Grade, the length of residence in Guangzhou, the cultural level of the father, the number of the Han friends and the nations about the community humans, but there aren't differences in the variables like sex and the cultural level of the mother.(4) The acculturation tactics of the Uygur university students in Sui has three dimensions: integration, assimilation, separation. The result of the questionnaire has a good fitting. The test of reliability and validity indicate that the questionnaire has favorable reliability and validity.(5) Both the cultural identity of their own culture and the cultural identity of the Han culture have a positive predictive-effect on the self-esteem. Furthermore, the cultural identity of the Han culture has a more strong predictive-effect on the level of the self-esteem than the cultural identity of their own culture.(6) In the group of the Uygur university students in Sui, the cultural identity of their own culture and the cultural identity of the Han culture have a respective predictive-effect on the different the acculturation tactics. Generally speaking, the cultural identity of their own culture has a positive predictive-effect on integration and separation, but has a negative predictive-effect on assimilation: the cultural identity of the Han culture has a positive predictive-effect on integration and assimilation, but has a negative predictive-effect on separation.(7) In the group of the Uygur university students in Sui, The acculturation tactics has a mediating effect in the course that the cultural identity affect the self-esteem.. But with the effect of the different acculturation tactics on the self-esteem, the cultural identity of their own culture and the cultural identity of the Han culture have different mechanism. Generally speaking, in the course that the the cultural identity of their own culture affect the self-esteem, Integration has a partial mediating effect, Separation has a global mediating effect: in the course that the the cultural identity of the Han culture, both Integration and Separation have a partial mediating effect.
