The borrowed verb-measure word, which is rather special, is a small category in the modern Chinese measure word system, with characteristics as temporary and opening. This paper discusses the borrowed verb-measure word from three aspects, which are borrowing nouns as verb-measure words, borrowing verbs as verb-measure words and borrowing LIHECI as verb-measure words.This paper discusses and explains the sentence semantic of borrowed verb-measure words from the perspective of Cognitive Linguistics theory "figure/ground" and "event frame" combining with the theory of Construction Grammar. It points out that when"Num(一)+M"is in the front of a sentence, its meaning focus on accounting matters; when it is in the back of the sentence, its meaning focus on the measurement. When ?NP? is a Possessive center structure, "一+M+VP+PL" and "在+PL+VP+NU+M"are been likely to used instead of "VP+NP+ NU + M".This paper puts forward a opposite opinion on that there is no"unexpected" semantics in"一+ M +VP+ PL", holding that the conflict in "The expected/ unexpected" doesn?t exist in"一+ M +VP+ PL"and"在+ PL +VP+ NU +M".This paper analyzes the order between borrowed verb-measure words and noun with the theory "identifiability", and work out the order, namely pronouns→alive, definite noun/(eye,voice)→lifeless, definite noun /other organ verb-measure words→indefinite noun→tool verb-measure words.In chapterⅢ, it puts out that the semantics of "attempt" is not the basic semantic of the "V一V". It also analyzes the requirements of verbs being borrowed as a verb-measure word. It put forward that the verb used in "V一V", is usually the independent and measurable monosyllabic verbs.In chapterⅣ, it discusses about borrowing LIHECI as verb-measure words carefully with quantitative analysis and more meticulous research with a conclusion that there is a contrastive distribution between "V一VB" and "V一B".According to these studies above, combining with the reality, this paper gives some suggestions on teaching the borrowed verb-measure words in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
