Study On Design And Construction Of The Snow Sculpture

The exhibition of snow sculpture is an important event in the winter of country domain part in northern territory. There are many countries will hold the competition of snow sculpture every winter, such as China, America, Canada, Japan and Italy, etc. Because the snow sculpture gets started late, it has strict territorial restrictions. In terms of less research on the snow sculpture at home and abroad, it is not possible to form a complete and mature theory system. There are a number of advantages to go on a research on snow sculpture, such as enriching the artistic theory in this area, avoiding the mistakes in the creating of arts of snow sculpture, raising the equality of works of snow sculpture, promoting the dissemination of the arts of snow sculpture, advancing the development of the local tourist industry and the promotion of cultural qualities.The main study of this paper as follows:1. Collecting the information of the works of snow sculpture and classifying the works of snow sculpture by their country, district and era. By analyzing the pictures of the works of snow sculpture of same country but different era, it will draw a conclusion that is the development processing of arctic style of the country's snow sculpture, and then comparing with other countries' results, it can get the conclusion that is the developing process of arctic style of the whole snow sculpture and the whole arctic style of modern snow sculpture.2. Comparing with the traditional sculpture in terms of material, molding method, mask making and environment design, it can draw a conclusion of the extraordinary nature of the arts of snow sculpture.3. Analyzing the language of the arts of snow sculpture through the information of the works of snow sculpture.4. Summarizing the design methodology of the works of snow sculpture through investigating the qualification guidelines of different countries and connecting with some sort of sculpture theory.5. Summarizing the design method and process of the works of snow sculpture basing on the design practices of the works of snow sculpture of the designer and connecting with some kind of design theory.6.
