Research On The Development Of Film Industry In China Based On Innovation Theory

The film industry is an important part of cultural industries, since 2002, under the background of our country is promoting the cultural and creative industries,the film industry has begun to undergo fast development, whose box-office income and social influence increase rapidly as well.Nowadays innovation has become the most distinctive characteristic of the times. And the ability of innovating is the core competitiveness of a country, the fundamental driving force of industrial development and the key to the enterprises' survival and development. Meanwhile, Since innovation was put forward by Schumpeter, innovation has become an important research field in modern economics, The neo-classical focused on researching technology innovation; while the new institutionalism put institutional innovation as one of main research direction.This paper, at first, summarizes the development process of innovation theory from the perstective of the history of economic thought. Secondly, it presents the history and current situation of our country's film industry by using the innovation theory,and summaries the achievements and problems of the film industry. Thirdly, the thesis raises its analysis of the influences on film industry development that innovation gives from specific to abstract. It analyses the impact mechanisms that technical innovation and institutional innovation influence on the film industry. And then it takes the successful experiences of the United States and South Korea as reference, whose film industries advance greatly through technical innovation and institutional innovation. From the perspectives of business and government, it also draws some inspiration from the foreign experience to our film industry. Last, this thesis proposes the policy recommendations to promote China's film industry sustainably from the following five factors:technology, institution funds, human captical and international trade.
