Through thousands of years of development, painting has become an essential component of the traditional art. Our needs of art has pushed it to develop and improve. For example, at first people made drawings to record things and communicate, which gradually enabled art to become perfect with a certain aesthetic function. In modern world, the aesthetic function of art has become even more prominent. While the traditional functions such as to record, advertise and educate are becoming less important. Therefore, as a painter, we should be well aware that creation and revolution of art should conform to the rules of the development of art. Besides, we should also consider its characteristics and functions of art to create the works which can best manifest the values in today's world. This paper aims to examine the explictness in the art language. In other words, it attempts to study whether explicitness in art conforms to the rules of the development of art in today's world, and to further find out some problems during the process of art development.Explicitness is one basic rule in the art language. To emphasize explicitness means that the art works should enable viewers to accept the paintings in a more direct way. In other words, painters should adapt the unique language to create art, offering a direct artistic visual impact to the viewers. The paper starts from the explicitness in art language, and further compare artists of different styles with the aim to make readers have a better understanding of that is the explicit language in art. Secondly, the paper compares the advantages and disadvantages of the explicitness principle, in order to make readers realize why we need explicit art language. Thirdly, it also analyzes how to give the explicit features to art works. Finally, some personal suggestions and understanding are provided.
