The Classical Fusion Of Jazz And European Traditional Music

George Gershwin is a famous musician in early 20th century America, he created "Rhapsody in Blue", it is a world-renowned classics. Gershwin's "Blue Symphony" make jazz's performance techniques into the traditional music of Europe, create a new style for the European traditional music. Performance of this work was a great success, opening the American folk music development.In this paper, Gershwin's life and the creation features of "Rhapsody in Blue" is a starting point, deeply studied the "Rhapsody in Blue " inherent in the creation of background and meaning of the times. From which it summed up the current development of China's important inspiration. This paper is divided into three parts.The first part is the first chapter, it introduces the origins of jazz, development, characteristics and the basic characteristics of traditional European music.The second part of Chapter II, Chapter III, this part is the core of this article. It describes the life of Gershwin, "Rhapsody in Blue " background of creation, the creative process and work characteristics. Analyzes the works in the fusion of jazz and traditional music on the European exploration.The third part is Chapter IV, it introduces the "Rhapsody in Blue " and the artistic value of the historical status, and analysis of this work for us in China.
