| The"Three Principles of Hirota"is Hirota's China policy throughout his whole diplomatic career, which takes an important position in the history of invasion to China and it is the continuation of Japan's diplomatic policy toward China from the Meiji government. With the help of the former study of it , this paper tries to explain it further with the literature analysis research method. The content of this paper includes its process of putting forward, the negotiations between China and Japan, and the essence of it and so on. The paper also makes an analysis of the reaction to it of the Communist Party of China. The paper has three parts.Part one is based on the analysis of the continuity among the mainland policy of Meiji government, the"Amau Doctrine"issued in 1934 and the nominal slogan"coordinated diplomacy""to point out that"Three Principles"is not accidental. It is the reaction of the demands of Japan inside. No matter what the slogan is ,its essence is the same.Part two is to make an discussion of the negotiations between Japan and Kuomintang (KMT) govement towards the Three Pricinples and at the same time this part explains the reaction of the Communist Party of China. As for Kuomintang's negotiation with Japan, there are three periods with three main topic: relationship of the "Three Principles" and " the Three Principles of Wang Chonghui" (mainly between Chinese ambassador in Japan Jiang Zuobin and Japanese foreign minister Hirota), the relationship of"Autonomy Movement"of NorthChina and the "Three Principles" and the relationship between the suppression of the anti-japanese sentiment of the Kuomintang national government and "Three Principles(mainly between Japanes ambassador in China Chuan Yuemao and the foreign minister of the Kuomintang government Zhang Qun). The attitude of Kuomintang had been changed from concession to preparation to anti-Japan through the negotiation. Meanwhile, this paper adds the reaction of the Chinese Communist Party which is not included in the former studies .The added part explains that the position of the Communist Party of China determines the limitations of its reaction to the "Three Principles".Part three discusses the concrete content of the "Three Principles" and summarizes the standpoints and attitudes towards the"Three Principles"of China and Japan in the association, with the conclusion that the"Three Principles"are the external displays of Japan's plan of monopolizing China .Finally ,the paper concludes that the "Three Principles" is the continuation of Japan's diplomatic policy toward China from the Meiji government and is an adjustment of the policy towards China after its invasion to Northeast China. Its content is deceptive and the external form cannot cover its essence of monopolizing the whole China. |
