"Lady Musashino" is alternating writing published works of Japanese writer Shohei Ooka during the period—1950s. The work marks his writing style shifting from war novels to daily life articles. The novel makes emotional entanglements among Tsutomu——demobilized soldier, michiko and tomiko as its main topic. Standing of Japanese society in early postwar period, the author describs the confusion and change of traditional moral values during early post-war Japanese society.The author creats a typical soldier image—Tsutomu demobilized soldier. Tamura is a Japanese soldier who is in suffering and confusion of ordinary and survived from the war in the post-war demobilization of soldiers of decadence. In Shohei Ooka's"Lady Musashino ", the protagonist Michiko was the most ink character description. Tsutomu is a supporting role in this novel. The mind and action of Tsutomu in this novel is essential for the development process of the story. Even it can be said that Tsutomu's character is an image of existence in the whole novel.By showing tragic ending of suicide and description of degenerate, decadent and collapse of love, Shohei Ooka wanted to tell the readers that decadence and decline social customs in Japan which is occupied by U.S. army after WWII and emptiness and degradation of those demobilized soldiers participating WWII.Based on the supporting observations of demobilized soldiers Tsutomu, found summarized information on related research both domestic and abroad, concluded absorbing domestic and foreign research results, and on this basis, the article further explore the new image view of Tsutomu. The author analyzed sprit of demobilized soldiers and customs in Japan after WWII, pointed out the essential meaning of Tsutomu in Shohei Ooka's work and its real social significance.
