Since the mid-20th century, ecological crisis has swept the globe, bringing an unprecedented human catastrophes. Therefore, the community and national governments begin to actively explore a good way to resolve the crises. Entering the 21st century, with the more intensifying ecological crises, people begin to rethink the relationship between man and nature, and try to find a theoretical guidance to solve the ecological crises through the study of ecological theories. The study of "ecological Marxism" has important theoretical and practical significance, for people has not payed much attention to ecological Marxism, especially when the survival and the development of human society is facing serious environmental problems and ecological crises. With the rapid economic development, environmental degradation has followed, too. As an advanced ideology and containing a wealth of its own ecological thinking, Marxist theory has an important significance to solve ecological problems of our country. This paper is divided into six parts, the first part of the Introduction introduces the research situation and methods of this study, and tries to find out the the blind spots of theoretical study. The second part screens and demarcates the "ecological Marxism", "ecological socialism", "ecology fascism" and other related concepts and in addition, clarificates some misunderstandings on Marxist for historical reasons. The third part explores the ideological origins of "ecological Marxism" from Marx and Engels's ecological thinking, the ecological thinking of the main representatives of Western Marxism, and the other three sources of "ecological Marxism". The fourth part explores the core domain research of the "ecological Marxism", focusing on ecological Marxist criticism and interpretation of the logic of modernity, capital, capitalist consumpation. The fifth part thinks the "ecological Marxism" thinking, analysis its meaning and limitations of the contemporary values, and explore its value of ecological civilization construction.
