Survival is the eternal topic of human beings.Survival ability becomes one of the key subjects of the study about educational theory and practice since Japan puts forward 'survival ability' concept in1996. As the transition period of childhood and adolescence, individual development of this stage is far more complex than other stages. If the students can't handle the contradictions in the stage, they will have kinds of problems. Concerned this,it's very necessary and urgency to study junior middle school students' living condition and survival ability. The article aims to put forward the connotation and evaluation index of survival ability by kinds of methods based on the study about existing research. Then it advances the route of improving junior middle school students' survival ability from the perspective of the main teacher, for the purpose of providing some reference about assessing and improving the survival ability of junior middle school students in practice.This dissertation is composed of introduction and four chapters:Introduction introduces the theoretical meanings and practical values about the study of junior middle school students' survival ability. It identifies the study focus and research methods. It also analyzes and reflects the connotation, the essential factors, the instruction, the influence factors and the training of survival ability through literature research method.Chapter1, the connotation and implication of junior middle school students' survival ability. Based on the concepts of survival ability which have been defined, I put forward my own connotation of survival ability by distinguishing the connotation of adaptability, development capacity and survival ability. Meanwhile, based on the research about the circumstance of junior middle school students, I put forward three dimensions to concern about survival ability through logical thinking method.Chapter2,the measure system of junior middle school students' survival ability. This chapter summarizes the characteristics of junior middle school students' physical and mental developments.From the three dimensions about the survival ability of the students, I determine that the survival ability of junior middle school students is composed of three hierarchies index,12factors by questionnaire survey method and factor analysis. At last, I claim the evaluation standards of survival ability by combined with the development characteristics and the actual situation of junior middle school students.Chapter3,the practical situation of junior middle school students' survival ability. Through case analysis, I find out that junior middle school students are not satisfied with their survival circumstance. Then through questionnaire survey method, I find out the current situation and characteristic of junior middle school students'survival ability.Chapter4, the route of improving junior middle school students' survival ability. Firstly, based on the analysis of the main teacher's duties, this chapter determines that the main teacher is an important influent resource to the development of junior middle school students. Secondly, I confirm that the main teacher's management style is very important for junior middle school students' survival ability by the method of abstract analysis and statistical analysis.Finally,I advance five training strategies of improving junior middle school students' survival ability from the perspective of the main teacher.
