Sicong Violin Works The Nationalization Of Research

Ma, Sicong is a famous contemporary violin performer and composer. In more than half a century, he composed music of various themes and styles. This paper aims to study the Chinese and ethnical characteristics of Ma, Sicong's violin music from the perspectives of the characteristics of his violin composition and the application of his composition style in his music.The first part of the paper generally introduces the life of Ma, Sicong and the background of his violin composition. The second part analyzes the compositional approach and ethnical style of Ma, Sicong's violin music and summarizes the characteristics of his composition as follows:a. application of western composition approaches into Chinese compositions; b. analyses of the ethnical characteristics in music such as "Inner Mongolia Suite"; c. the contributions of the violin compositions by Ma, Sicong to Chinese contemporary violin music and violin performing arts.
