Solfeggio is a required course for undergraduates program of musicology in general colleges, which is a basic musical course aimed at cultivating and improving students' musical quality and ability and has the discipline characteristic of combining basic theory with the basic skills. Chorus is a required course for undergraduates program of musicology adapting to educational requirements in general colleges, which requires students possessing basic knowledge on certain musical theory, solfeggio and singing vocal techniques.Both solfeggio and chorus are taught through musical elements such as rhythm, melody, harmony, speed, intensity and so on, require using professional skills and techniques to exactly express musical image. Therefore, based on the content feature and teaching rules of these two subjects, the teaching should boldly use the intercommunity and complementarity between solfeggio and chorus, making the solfeggio and chorus link together furthest in learning and training to complete the learning method's development of two subjects from low to high level, to furthest optimize course teaching quality, and to develop a mutual infiltration and mutual support learning relationship between two independent but close courses, finally with aim to open a new space for the general college music teaching.This paper is divided into four parts:the first chapter is introduction, which simply introduces the reason for choosing topic, research aim and significance, research methods, research thought and the overview of research result. The second chapter analyzes the current teaching situation on solfeggio and chorus and summarizes the feasible conditions of implementing mutual helping teaching by comparing solfeggio with chorus. The third chapter is about the key problems solfeggio and chorus teaching needs to resolve in mutual training. Through analyzing and researching, this chapter comes up with pertinent suggestions and counter-measures by combing with own practical experiences. The fourth chapter is summative statement.The author wants to persistently take in the new academic research outcome of this subject and makes the basic analysis of the current teaching situation on solfeggio and chorus starting from the content intersection feature between solfeggio and chorus course to put forward a mutual helping training method. Thus, it can make the author keeping pace with times in teaching process to improve the richness and renewal of teaching content and to cultivate musical talents with pioneering and innovative spirit. This study has a certain reference value.
