Shui Hu Zhuan is one of the treasures of the Chinese culture and classic novel. The outstanding contribution of its translators lies in the introduction and broad transmission of our culture to the world. Buck, Jackson, Sidney Shapiro's versions of Shui Hu Zhuan, and John Dent Yang and Alex Dent-Young Son joint version of the five volumes of the Shui Hu Zhuan, are the best among them. In the Shui Hu Zhuan multiple versions, the author selects the Pearl S. Buck's because of the following two considerations:Firstly, her version is of high artistic value, and embodies the progressive feminist perspective; Secondly, Pearl spent her life advocating feminism, and her version also reflects this concept. The Western translation studies experienced "Cultural Turn" in 1980s. Their representatives are Luise Von Flotow and Sherry Simon. Feminism translation theory came from the period when the theory abandoned the traditional view in which translation was regarded as a cultural intervention and mediation. It abandoned the traditional theory in which the original version was superior, and the target version was subordinated to the original. And it believes that both the target and the original are of equal status and denies the absolute sense by emphasizing significance of the richness and diversity. It is a translation theory based on many women's emerging political demands.Feminist understanding of the translation involves not only the correspondence problem of the source language and the target language, but also the one when translating, one should choose male language or female language. Therefore translation, either as a process or as a result, reflects reality or promoted to the reality as well. Translators can regard translating or language used in translation as a cultural intervention means to resist and change the dominant patriarchal discourse structure. Therefore, translating is believed to be a creative writing practice, and the creation of meaningful intervention into the text. There exist many translation strategies. The most important three are "supplementing", "hijacking", "prefacing and footnoting". All these strategies fully display the feminism ideas and characteristics.Feminist translating theory broadens the horizon and put up a new platform for the translating research. Although feminist translation methods are not perfect, e.g.:taking no notice of the original translating style and arbitrarily processing the original version in order to achieve the purpose of highlighting the status of female identity, their views on the impact of the translation industry can not be ignored, and the application of feminist translation theory in the translation can not be ignored. This paper explores the origin of Pearl S. Buck's feminism and analyzes the English Versions by Pearl S. Buck based on Feminist translation strategies-"supplementing", "hijacking", "prefacing and footnoting". And the feminist thought and feminist translation strategies that Pearl S. Buck used in the translation process are discussed too.Through the analysis of Pearl S. Buck's version of All Men Are Brothers from the perspective of feminist translation, the feminist translation methods, and her translating style and thought can be further understood. There are some theoretical and practical reference value and social significance.
