Love Without Regrets——The Study Of Love Patterns In Jinyong's Kungfu Novels

As the leader of new breed Kungfu novel writer, Jinyong describes romantic love stories of chivalrous men and women in the glare of a fantasy battlefield which we named it Jianghu World. In this Jianghu World, there are no shackles of secular or discriminations of sexual, everybody is equal to live and love. Under this background, he works out unique writing style, with his strong literary grounding as well as his energetic personality and introspection, together to make his novel full of feeling touch points and sympathetic response. This article studies reasons of love patterns in Jingyong's novels from sociology and psychology aspects in three parts.First of all, after study deeply of Jinyong's15novels, I come into a conclusion of his basic love view through images and descriptions in his writing.Secondly, study the distinguishing features in Jinyong's novels. He characterises his hero as a paladin (similar to a knight but not exactly) who experiences different loves in Jianghu World portrayed in four ways:(1) Love in the wandering and adventurous journey.(2) Complicated love with lots of emotional conflicts.(3) Loss of love but manifested in mighty ways either evil become good or women become nuns.(4) Idealistic romantic love versus realistic marriage.Finally, study three causes of Jinyong's love stories patterns from sociology and psychology aspects which are Chinese classical literature, influence of western literature and the writer's own life experience. After fully study and deeply analyze of Jinyong's biography, prose, love stories in Kungfu novel and the writer's love view, we form into a system of studying distinguishing features of love patterns in Jinyong's Kungfu novels.
