Cultural exchanges is an important part in the bilateral exchanges between China and Vietnam. In Vietnam, Jin Yong's novels are the most common foreign novels to be translated. Vietnamese love reading Jin Yong's novels, but few study them, much less take translation of Jin Yong's novels as a phenomenon of cultural communication to study. This paper studies deep in development stages of translation of Jin Yong's novels and hot reasons for translation in Vietnam, and how translation of Jin Yong's novels affect Vietnam in literature, culture, academic and other areas. Jin yong's novels contain and spread the Chinese Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism culture, which has a profound influence on Vietnam, and reflects the long history of cultural contacts between China and Vietnam, also promotes the interaction and communication of culture between two countries in a wide range, and provides successful experiences to develop and promote cultural soft power. But for a long time, literature translation mainly are translation of literature from western developed countries. In fact, there is no lack of outstanding and classic works in developing countries of Southeast Asia, which reflect the long history national culture and language features in those countries, and that is worth learning and studying. So, that requires us to firmly rely on vast authors and cultural transmission workers, especially translation researchers, follow the rules of cultural transmission, cultural transmission worker to enhance their level of study on translation, make a little contribution to work cultural communication and transmission.
