The disaster film, full of popular culture and mass media, describes the human situation in the modern society in its unique perspective, and it has strong sense of the disaster. The disaster movie concerns the global ecological disaster and covers the ecological concept,that not only triggered a global human and ecological sense of ecological concerns, but also alerted human beings:Human culture exists with the nature, and every living creature has its equal right to life. Only human beings respect the human nature and love nature, the society can be developed sustained. It also reminds the audience that science and technology is a double-edged sword. Previous academic research on the disaster film has remained mostly in the critical point of view. They thought there is no artistic value in the disaster film. But I firmly believe that the disaster film not only has high aesthetic value, but also has profound cultural significance.Preface lists the development of disaster film. It describes the procedure of disaster movies from silent disaster film to modern film using digital and other advanced technologies that show the shock effect and profound cultural significance. The first chapter gives a clear definition and classification of disaster film. It describes disasters caused by original nature, the conflict between man and nature and fallacious scientific experiments.It usually shows the audience the terror, panic, bleak landscape as the main plot and the protest between the film characters and the disaster. This chapter also descripts the characteristics of disaster film. They can be divided into natural, ecological and technological disaster film. Chapterâ…¡provides the description of creative skills analysis, such as the movie screen, sound, rhythm and other aspects. Chapterâ…¢deeps into its aesthetic sense and its high aesthetic value, including the sense of fear, sense of tragedy, lofty sense, comedy sense and so on. It let the audience not only enjoy the viewing process, but also think about the future. The fourth chapter discusses ecological crisis, technological crisis and disaster awareness to emphasize the significance of the human beings. Disaster film tell human beings to protect the natural environment, compress human desires, moderate consumption, and develop science and technology rationally.
