The Aesthetics Insights Of Classical Chinese Love Tragedy

The fundamental issue on aesthetics is the aesthetic understanding and reflection on the existence state of the human beings. Chinese classic love tragedy, as the treasure in art galleries of human, aims at revealing the various difficulties, disaster and suffering of human existence, and provides us the most direct insight on human existence.The human tragedy is rooted in sharp conflict where real world can not meet humans'self-desire. In avoid of such human tragedy, the Chinese culture, which is mainly established from Confucianism, tries to limit and deny human's self-desire based on its own philosophy. Affirmation on the rationality of humans'various desire is only represented in Chinese classic love tragedy, which demonstrates the self-will of human. This paper tries to foster the universal individuals with tragic personalities, who are not only having independent thoughts and healthy personality based on universally recognized moral values, but also with tough character and vitality. As Hegel said,"The character should be at least in form of great and strong, with the ability of withstanding any negative factors."Once human possesses such tragic personality, he definitely could keep out any negative factors with the great and strong personality, and stand up again from difficulties and disasters.In the following, this paper will presented a detailed analysis on the Chinese classic love tragedies with different kinds of aesthetic forms, which give a comprehensive understanding of the aesthetic characteristics of Chinese classic love tragedy. We also discussed the main differences on aesthetic form between Chinese and Western tragic love, which enable an objective evaluation of classical Chinese love tragedy.
