Study On Military Prison Of Sichuan In The Period Of The Republic Of China(1939-1949)

Sichuan military prison was located in Chongqing and set up after the Nanjing national government was moved the capital to Chongqing.Sichuan military prison belong to the military and political department of the Nanjing national government.As the A kind prison,it took a lot of the administration of justice.The military prison have their own particularity, so this research have some Reference for the study on the prison in the Period of the Republic of China, judicial and social realities.The whole thesis includes three parts, they are: introduction, text and concluding remarks:Introduction explain the aim and meaning of the research, present research conditions of domestic and overseas, the content, the methods and reformation of the research.The first chapter firstly expounds the concept of military prison.It is used for detention of the soldiers who have served in the armed forces and ordinary persons who break the law of military decrees.Next, it narrates the evolvement of the history of Sichuan military prison.The second chapter analyse the organizational system of Sichuan military prison.Total includes three aspects.First,the appointment of staff standards of Sichuan military prison.Second,the treatment staff of Sichuan military prison.Third,the staff training of Sichuan military prison.The third chapter analyse the management system of Sichuan military prison.It includes four aspects.First,the management system.Second,Prison labour system.Third,teaching and education system.Four,prisoner life system.The fourth chapter analyse the prisoner release system.It mainly discusses the prisioners who can served in the military and subject to labor.The chapter has analyz the service of prisoners with specific cases.The fifth chapter analyse the circumstances of prisioners by using statistical methods.The sixth chapter analyse the construction and management of Sichuan military prisons should learn from the experience and reflect on their problems.Conclusion mainly to explain the efforts in the management and experience of sichuan military prison that we can learn from, the construction and management problems are worth considering.
