In the promotion of global trend, cross-cultural communication are happening with increasing frequency in the21st century. The movie is becoming the carrier of cross-cultural communication. The film as a kind of artistic international language, is the most important and most effective way to promote international cultural exchange, transmit information and emotion, communicate national culture.Domestic commercial film acts a role of introducing Chinese culture. People in different countries also understand China and Chinese culture through Chinese film.This thesis theoretical basis is cross-cultural communication related theory, semiotics and theory of film, This thesis uses research methods of text analysis and comparative analysis. It is divided into four parts to study the the cross-cultural communication of domestic commercial film in21st century.The first part of this thesis mainly introduces the research background, research methods, theoretical basis and theoretical summary at home and abroad, and shows the research object and time limits. The second part of this thesis provides an overview of the domestic commercial films in the21st century. It is mainly described the commercial of film. It gives the examples of the film of director Zhang yimou, Feng xiaogang and Chen kaige. This thesis summarizes the domestic commercial film of the cross-cultural communication status and effect in21st century. The third part and the fourth part is the focus of this thesis. The two parts discuss the plight of domestic commercial films in the21st century cross-cultural communication, as well as the breakthrough point of the cross-cultural communication. The third part consisted of three main aspects to analyze the plight of communication. In view of the above problems, the fourth part of the thesis attempts to explore the domestic commercial film success to achieve the breakthrough point of the cross-cultural communication. Reference to the model of the spread of business and culture-Hollywood movies. Through analysis of the communication strategy and operation mode analysis, It summarizes our commercial movie content strategy of the cross-cultural transmission and strategy of production and marketing. For our country commercial film output national culture better, shape the image of the state,the thesis provides reference and enlightenment. Chinese film as the propagation vector of the image of Chinese culture, can explore the cultural spirit of real vitality into the Chinese culture.
