The combination of creativity and hi-tech makes animation industry one of the most promising industries in global cultural industry competition, while consensus has been reached on the significance and vital status of the cultural industry in the process of economic globalization in the 21st century.Chinese animation market has long been dominated by American and Japanese animation products since it is lack of competitiveness. The thesis begins with the foundation of Chinese animation,1960s coming up when "Chinese School" won its great fame, to 1990s when Chinese animation industry was in dilemma in the beginning of cultural reformation.The author focuses on the creativity of Chinese animation industry and conducts in-depth research on the reasons for the lack of creativity, compared with American and Japanese's booming animation industry. In terms of creativity, this paper discusses the influencing factors ranging from the fierce competition in the international animation market to the shortage of human resources and financing, and to the ignorance of the conception of animation film in China.Taking into account the tough work of Chinese animation film facing and competitive marketplace, the author brings forward guiding principles:to integrate the modern values with our traditional ones and commercial film-oriented. Based on above-mentioned, the paper conducts beneficial exploration to the development of Chinese animation film.
