Taoism Of Ancient Thinking Of The Relationship Between Beauty And Goodness

The relationship of beauty and goodness is the core issue of traditional Chinese aesthetics. Ancient thinkers of the relationship between beauty and goodness never stops. Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi and Taoism of ancient devotes a great deal of effort in research of beauty and goodness. Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi explain natural beauty, artistic beauty, social and personal beauty from the position of naturalistic aesthetic, penetrate and reflect the good purpose in the quest for beauty. This article excavate the relationship between goodness and beauty in Taoism of ancient thoughts on the base of the homology of the beauty and good, combining with traditional Chinese aesthetics,which reveals the interaction between its goodness and beauty.Then It analyzes the practical significance of the relationship between goodness and beauty in Taoism for contemporary aesthetic.
