As the exchange of economy, technology and culture between or among countries become more frequent, Chinese as a communication tool in the world was more and more widely used in various fields. The society is not only hungry for a large number of talents majored in Chinese, but also ma ny practical models who are both professional in a specific field and can m aster Chinese well. Therefore, the Chinese standard for training non-Chinese majors is much higher than before.Then, how to train senior high school student to be qualified society-de mand persons? According to my understanding, in foreign language teaching, we should focus on language training from the prospect of culture to enabl e students to be sensitive to culture and finally reach the goal of cross-cultu ral communication in a proper and appropriate way. Language and culture ar e an inseparable whole, and at the same time, language is one part of cultu re, which reflects culture and is restricted by culture. Culture is the sum of material wealth and spiritual wealth developed by human in the course of social development. Different locations and different customs give rise to dif ferent cultures, which is also one of the biggest barriers in the process of c ommunication between or among people who has different native languages.The fundamental purpose of foreign language teaching is also to imple ment a kind of cultural education. Therefore, we should have a good combi nation of rich cultural information according to language features and linguis tic information instead of the imparting of language itself to get a better ma stery of foreign language. Popular culture of the target language should be1eaded into Chinese teaching under the premise of a good acquisition of lang uage fundamentals, which will benefit language learners in the aspects of la nguage-acquisition and cross-cultural communication. This paper aims to discuss the important role of Chinese cultural educa tion in the process of Chinese language teaching. It analyses systemically th e relation of language and culture and the relation of Chinese teaching and popular culture, trying to make a preliminary summary in the aspects of the necessity and feasibility of adding Chinese culture to Chinese language teae hing in Korea, the specific teaching content of the Chinese culture and othe r issues concerning the Chinese culture teaching. It holds that we should pla ce the capability of cross-cultural communication in the core of teaching ai d the purpose of Chinese teaching is to improve the quality of language tea ching and the efficiency of cross-cultural communication.
