The Western Wei Northern Zhou Sui and Tang Dynasty were all taking Guanzhong region as core and made Chang'an theirs capital.The Hequ region is located in the north of Chang'an,and controls the main road which lead to Chang'an,so it has predominant geographical position that makes Hequ as the northern gate of Chang'an. So it becames the object of scramble of Chang'an regime and nomadic people, especially when they were remains in the prolonged state of armed confrontation,then Hequ region was the forward position of battle area,The gain and loss in Hequ regions closely linked to the fate of the Chang'an regime,they were always regarded as the crucial areas. On the basis of the previous research resul, we search for the resource,by dint of related references historical background, this thesis does a discussion about the operation process of Hequ region in Chang'an regime, to enhances the understanding of Hequ history.This thesis consists of four parts:The first chapter is introduction. Dissertate the bound of Hequ region, the reason of choosing the topic and the research situation, then introduce the research method and the frame of thesis briefly.The second chapter explores the operation of the Hequ region in the Western Wei and Northern Zhou Dynasty, falls into three sections. Section1has discussed the political situation after the Liuzhen Rebellion, to show the situation that the the Western Wei mast to face to when made Chang'an its capital. Section2discussed the scramble for the Hequ region between the Western and Eastern Wei, which was caused by competing for the Hequ region' resources. In section3it first discussed the pushed northward of the Hequ region in the Northern Zhou and the Northern Qi, then discussed the the war against the Northern Qi which were unleashed by the Northern Zhou and Turk from the Hequ region, finally discussed the operation of the Hequ region in the Northern Zhou from three aspects:administrative setting, the region of Dudu and Zonguan, Shu Zhen and Fang.The third chapter discussed operation of the Hequ region in the Sui and the early Tang Dynasty, falls into two sections. Section1first discussed the relations of War and Peace between the Sui dynasty and Turk in the period of Suiwendi, then discussed the the governance of the Northern Hequ in Sui and the resettlement of Qimin khan, finally discussed the political situation in the period of Suiyangdi. In section2it first elaborates the separatist warlord included Liangshidu Guozihe and Zhangchangxun in the Hequ region from the late Sui to the early Tang, then discussed discard Fengzhou in the early Tang and the Yusheshe of Turk which enter into the Hequ region, Finally discussed the early Tang wipe out Liangshidu and the Eastern Turk, regained Tang' dominance in the Hequ region.The fourth chapter is the epilogue. This part introduced the operation of the the Hequ region briefly in the Western Wei Northern Zhou Sui and early Tang Dynasty which lasted one hundred years.
